William (Bill) Saari was born and raised in Yonkers, New York near the banks of the Hudson River, thirty – minutes north of Manhattan. He graduated from both Saint Thomas Aquinas College in New York with a B.A in Art, and the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, Colorado with a degree in Design.
When Bill was twelve, he began taking private art lessons from a woman who tried to teach him to paint kitty cats. That lasted for two weeks.
At the age of fifteen, Bill embarked upon a passion of pursuing curiosities that saturated his senses. With thousands of experiences all taken in and stored on his mental hard drive, his images began to percolate and blossom. At that point, he became more interested in creating from instincts and imagination, than copying from reality and life.
Bill uses every medium available to bring his non-objective compositions to fruition and often refers to some of his work as visual and mental effluvium.
