Images from the Feburary 7th opening exhibition.
The Hettigs is an informal exhibition reflecting the visual and musical journey of the Hettig family for the past 45 years.
The family’s artwork, that includes hundreds of images, was compiled by Edward Hettig, partner and curator at Alexander/Heath Contemporary. The family is also musically gifted. Roxanne and Heath Hettig will be performing original compositions.
Edward Hettig’s career as a graphic designer dates back to 1976. Along with his paintings and drawings, the exhibition will show select pieces designed for various clients through the years. He owned two design studios, served as an Executive Art Director at a Rochester, New York Ad Agency, directed the marketing and sales for Golden Artist Colors, Inc during the 90’s, and currently serves as a marketing director for SleepSafe Beds, Inc. in Bassett, Virginia.
Adrienne and Roxanne, Hettig’s daughters, attended Pratt Institute and The School for Visual Arts respectively, and continue to create artwork. Other Hettigs, including Heath, Evan, Tyler, and Beverly, will also contribute to the mix.
Note: This is a personal hallmark for me. This exhibition reveals our creative energy and offers a unique perspective to a unique and loving family.
