Ian Fortier is a Roanoke-based artist who began working with cold-fusion stained glass in 2001. He has been exclusively a commissioned artist working on decorative wall pieces and structurally installed window pieces for private homes as well as restaurants and retail outlets.
Honoring the Female Mosaic is Fortier’s first foray into the world of a full exhibit and includes more than thirty pieces of finished work with over 800 individual pieces of glass. This exhibit is a fundraiser for Mental Health America of Roanoke Valley, which provides comprehensive and accessible mental health care services and programs to the constituents of the greater Roanoke area.
